TrackMacros — Product Research Emails

Version 2026-09-09

This notice explains one optional choice: whether TrackMacros may email you to
ask what you think of the app.

It is separate from your account, your subscription, and how the app works.
Saying no changes nothing about what you can do in TrackMacros, and you will
never be asked to pay for anything you would otherwise have had.

What you are agreeing to

If you turn this on, we may email you to ask how TrackMacros is working for you:
what helps, what gets in the way, and what would make it better. That may be a
short set of questions, an invitation to talk to us, or simply a reply to the
email itself.

You are agreeing to be contacted. You are not agreeing to answer. Ignoring an
email is a complete answer and has no consequence.

What we will not send

This choice does not sign you up for anything else. In particular it is not
consent to marketing. We will not use it to send you product announcements,
feature news, promotions, subscription offers, or a newsletter. Those are a
separate choice, and turning this on does not turn any of them on.

We do not sell your email address, and we do not share it with anyone for their
own marketing.

The information we use

To send you a research email we use your email address, and we use information
already in your TrackMacros account to decide whether it makes sense to contact
you at all — for example how long ago you signed up and roughly how much you
have used the app.

We do not include what you have eaten, your weight, your health data, or
anything you have written to the AI Coach in these emails, and we do not send
that information to the company that delivers them.

Who sends the email

The email itself is delivered by a third-party email provider acting on our
instructions and under a written data protection agreement. They handle delivery
and nothing else. They do not use your address for their own purposes.

Your choice, and changing it

Turning this on is entirely optional, and the control starts off. We only treat
you as having agreed when you turn it on yourself and our server records it.

You can turn it off at any time in the app, under Profile, then Communication
Preferences. Turning it off is as easy as turning it on, takes effect as soon as
our server records it, and applies to every email covered by this notice. Every
email we send also carries a way to unsubscribe.

Turning it off stops future emails. It does not undo emails already sent.

The record we keep of your choice

Because this is a consent, we keep a record of it: which choice you made, when,
which version of this notice you saw, and which screen you made it on. We keep
that record for as long as we may need to show that the choice was made, and we
keep it after you delete your account — but detached from you, with the
identifiers that link it back to your account removed. The record is evidence
that a choice happened, not a way to contact you.

If this notice changes

This notice has a version. If we change it in a way that affects what you agreed
to, we will publish a new version and ask you again rather than assume your
previous answer still applies. Until you answer, we will not email you under the
new version.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to
correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can withdraw this consent at any time
without giving a reason, and doing so does not affect anything we did before you
withdrew it.

You can delete your account from the app, under Profile, then Sign-in &
Security.
